Founding

Several years ago, the current directors of our organization decided to create One Can Matter to give help to those in need in a discreet and respectful way. They never looked for or expected notoriety and often gave their time, money and efforts anonymously. Helping the community grew to become a permanent part of their lives. Soon, the need out grew their financial abilities and needed a more permanant commitment. The organization went public, launching our web site, 1-800 number and our memorable logo, designed and drawn by Jacob Hall. The response has been amazing. In the past 10 years alone, more than 3,000 toys delivered, more than 2,100 winter coats. We have donated more than 200 complete holiday dinners including desserts. We have paid for thousands of gallons of emergency fuel oil and have donated hundreds of skating passes to low-income families that included skate rental, skate time, hot chocolate and a cookie. We have donated over 10,000 cans of food and have bought close to 100 kids bicycles. And that's just the beginning. Move to New Facilities

Our need for more space is greater than ever. Plans are being made for a Capital Improvements Campaign to help fund a new permanent location. We believe that with faith and hard work we will accomplish our goal by year's end. The movement is growing fast but the needs are growing faster. Help us today. be the One!
